The course is organised by the Working Group (WG) for Measurement Uncertainty (MU), a joint WG that includes participants from:

EURL‑Coagulase Positive Staphylococci
EURL‑Listeria monocytogenes

Implementation of EN ISO 19036:2019 – Microbiology of the food chain — Estimation of measurement uncertainty for quantitative determinations.
Theoretical lectures covering the standard and the WG‑prepared guidance document.
Group exercises to apply the material.
Outcome: Participants will be able to implement the standard in their own laboratories.
Bring your own laptop.
Training needs of the NRL.
If a laboratory holds several NRL mandates, only one applicant from that laboratory may participate.
One participant per country for each EURL.
Priority is given to NRLs that did not take part in the last on‑site Training Courses on Measurement Uncertainty.
The EURLs will reimburse travel, accommodation, and subsistence for selected applicants in accordance with EU rules.
Notification: Applicants will be informed of the decision by the end of June 2026.
