A report of several FMD outbreaks in Iraq has been mentioned recently. Interestingly, the virus strain circulating in Iraq is related to SAT-2, topotype XIV, and closely related to SAT-2 strains ETH/3/22 and ETH/2/22 (collected from cattle in Sodo, Wolaita, SNNPR in March 2022).
