Exercise on complex food matrices involved in SFPO in the frame of EURL for CPS

The investigation of food poisoning outbreaks requires the parallel implementation of a toolbox of methods enabling the detection of coagulase-positive staphylococci (CPS), enterotoxin genes, and enterotoxins produced in the consumed food.

According to the EURL-CPS working programme 2025–2027, and following requests from the NRL network, an SFPO exercise on complex food matrices is planned by the EURL for CPS in September 2026. Participation in this exercise is voluntary.
